The meeting was full of useful ideas for the Sicilian tourism sector, which is particularly flourishing in the post-Covid period. Among the main ideas, in a context of strong transformation of tourism at a global level, the future digital vision as a way of enjoying travel experiences. On the other hand, geographical accessibility still appears to be a crucial issue and we need to invest further in new trends such as film tourism and in strengthening other drivers for tourist presences, such as tourism for sporting events. Also crucial, in terms of transport, is their seasonality which conditions the types of tourist offer other than the seaside one.
In the various statistics displayed during the event, Sicily appears to be among the main Mediterranean destinations with the greatest growth in percentage terms.
